About Privr

Privr grew out of an internal tool. In 2020 a platform team at a regional hospital network built a small broker so that clinicians could reach patient records without shared passwords. Within a year three other departments were using it, and the audit went from a quarter of work to an afternoon. The team left to turn it into a product, and 260 organizations now run on it.

We believe compliance should be a by-product of running systems well, not a separate activity. Every feature in Privr is designed so that the evidence writes itself while people do their jobs.

Our principles

Customers run their own data

Export everything, any time, in open formats. Leaving Privr should be as easy as joining it.

Small blast radius

Tenants are isolated, keys are per customer, and a mistake in one place should never become everyone's problem.

Respect the operator

The person running Privr at a customer usually has three other jobs. Every screen and every alert is designed for them first.

Who we are

The team combines people who have run security for hospitals and clinics with engineers who have built identity systems at scale.

Felix Rossi

Staff Engineer, Reliability

On-call lead. Has reduced the platform's dependencies twice and intends to do it again.

Mateo Lindqvist

Principal Engineer

Designed the Device Registry and its key hierarchy. Spends Fridays on the parts of the system nobody wants to touch.

Elena Moreau

Engineering Manager

Leads the team behind the Posture Engine. Previously ran platform teams in logistics and retail.

Lina Okafor

Co-founder & CTO

Built identity infrastructure for two hospital networks before starting Privr. Owns the Device Gateway and its performance budget.
